Brimbank launches wireless technology for all library users
More library users in Brimbank will have access to the internet than ever before with the Council’s launch of wireless technology that is now available at all our libraries. Council put $60,000 towards the project and the Department of Planning and Community Development provided 50,000.
This technology will provide the community with access to the internet through their laptop or iphone, at no charge. There is also no time limit to accessing WiFi in the Library enabling Council to provide improved support and learning opportunities for residents and students.
The service is sure to be appreciated, in the last financial year alone there were nearly 322,000 internet bookings across our Libraries.
