It was a wild ride at times, with Amato enjoying the fantastic structure offered by this event to sit tight and wait until his moment to strike. One moment that was mis-timed was when he ran his pocket fours into the pocket kings of Jason Gray, only to spike the case four on the river to stay alive. But to win a poker tournament you need a little slice of lady luck occasionally.
